Jasons Birth

For those of you who know me, you know that most everything I do is surrounded in chaos and confusion. The day Jason was born was no exception.

First though, the prelude. We had just moved from New Jersey on May 18, to Florida, the house on Plaza. Jason's Dad and a buddy moved everything down ahead of time so by the time I got there with the kids, all our belongings would be at the house. At 8 months pregenant with Jas I packed up the car, the kids, the animals, my Mom, and off we went to our new home.

We were having an addition added to the house, so there was workers in and out all the time. Slow workers I might add. When we got there Jason's Dad had already headed back to Jersey so I was faced with piles of boxes, furniture, and appliances all to be put into place. Trish and Mike were a great help. Matt was too young to really do too much except stay out of trouble (or was that get into trouble).

I worked my tail off and ended up going into labor about 2 weeks early. We were not prepared. By that time my Mom had gone back home. About 6 am labor started. I had 3 kids at home and no one to drive me to the hospital, gasp! I called my sister in law Toni, and she headed down to get the kids. I tried to wait as long as possible so they wouldn't be alone too long, though Trish was very mature and capable of keeping an eye on them till Toni arrived.

Finally about 6:30 I had to call an ambulance (dramatic). I got to the hospital just in time to give birth to Jason Edward Posluszny, born at 7:42 am. He weighed in at 8lbs, 5ozs and 20 1/4 inches long. He was beautiful. I was blessed with my 4th child, and very, very happy.

24 hours later we were back at home, and back to work on the house, addition still not done, boxes still unpacked, but the best thing to be added to that house, was Jason, and he was now by my side, watching as I dug back in to get it all done.

He was a great baby, very content, happy even then, smiling, a joy and wonderful addition to our beautiful family.

I thought Matt's videos showed SO much of your life!!! I am going to post them here until I can wrap my brain around doing this page. What a perfect place to put these.

For Jason [Teaser]

In 2005, me and my brother Jason shot a lot of video in hopes of making a DVD someday - just as a project to cure our boredom. The project was never finished and the tapes were lost. They are now found and by his birthday this year, I will finish what we started and make a video that doesn't focus on the fact that he's gone, but focuses on all the happiness he brought us every day of his life.

Jason: So Far Away

An introspective and personal tribute to my brother Jason.

Jason: Space Bound Scientist

Personal tribute to my brother, Jason who was killed by a drunk driver in a car crash. Making cool stuff like this is how we keep going strong for him.

All you need is a space bound scientist.
